Course Description: This course will explore the emotional and procedural considerations involved when dealing with what could be a hostile employee termination. Coordination of security with the Human Resource department is essential for the safety of all personnel, not just those involved in the event. The course will review what you should have in place regarding your workplace violence policy and employee training as it relates to that policy and problem behavior recognition. It will also cover the planning steps for the day of the termination and the simultaneous actions which must take place as the event unfolds. Security escort procedures will be covered for the interview and exit process. Safeguarding options for any possible follow up action will also be discussed.
